W + (K.E) 1 + (P.E) 1 = (K.E) 2 + (P.E) 2

W + 0 + = 0 +

or, W = kq 1 q 2

W = 9 × 10 9 × 15 × 10 –6 × 10 × 10 –6

∴ W = 4.5 Joule
